The Readers Library. 1927 Hard Cover Good Fair
A good 247 page hardback book without inscriptions or other marks. Undated, but said to be 1927. Pages browned as usual, backstrip pulled by about 1cm at both top and bottom. Light rub along top & bottom. The DJ - which isn't often present with this book - shows a number of POWs behind barbed wire, looking at a girl on the other side of the wire - this may be copied from a still from the film, which is mentioned on the front flap. DJ is rubbed along edges, chipped at corners, split for 2" at top rear fold. Piece roughly 20mm deep by 40mm long missing from top of spine and top left corner of front. (rear half of fthe soldier's hat on front is missing).
