Volume 17 of the Chapman & Hall series of monographs on electrical engineering. 10 chapters in two parts, numerous figues, index. Appears to be a book about single- and three-phase ac to dc conversion, primarily with the use of Mercury Arc rectifiers, with some reference to semiconductor rectification.
