A History of the Ordnance Board., Norman Skentelbery
12 A History of the Ordnance Board. Norman Skentelbery
Ordnance Board Press 1967 First Edition. Paperback Very Good No Jacket
A very good 97 page paperback book without inscriptions or other marks. Red paper covers, blue cloth binding to spine. Light rub to spine ends, otherwise good and solid. This is the original March 1967 publication, not the more common 1975 text. A strange item which appears to be a collection of unrelated articles rather than a coherent text, with chapters having their own appendices, and little continuity. Traces the history of the Board from the introduction of firearms into the British military scene in 13th century, up to around 1939, ending with a list of the Presidents of the Board from 1908 to 1966.

A good 270 page hardback book without inscriptions or other marks in a very good DJ which is a little sunned on the spine. BCA 1976 Good  Fair
A very good ex-library book with the usual stamps and label residues. Front endpaper removed - first page is half-title page. Tight & clean, light corner rub. DJ has clearly been worn before covering for library use, and I can see a number of short closed tears, corner rub and chips, etc, but in the clear plastic jacket it looks reasonable enough.

EP Publishing Ltd. 1978 0715812416 / 9780715812419 First Edition Hard Cover Very Good Very Good
A very good 264 page hardback book with presentation inscription on front endpaper, otherwise unmarked. DJ & book have together been bound in a clear adhesive film, giving the impression of a hardback book with illustrated covers - this has been very well executed, and adds to the appearance & durability of the book, in my humble opinion. Clean and tight, just a touch of shelf wear, a few foxing spots to page edges. 17 chapters, 5 appendices, list of sources, index, numerous photographic reproductions.
