A very good example of the 1957 edition, virtually unworn, with owner's name and address on verso of half-title. No other inscriptions or marks. Page edges gently foxed with the odd spot on the page margins. Pages a little yellowed. Small traces of sellotape adhesive offset onto covers where previous owner had fitted a makeshift cover over the DJ - but note that the tape hadn't actually been stuck onto the covers, it's just traces of adhesive migrated off the edges of the tape. DJ is very good - a little rubbed and wrinkled along top edge with 40mm closed tear down rear flap, 20mm closed tear down front near joint, a 15mm closed tear at the bottom of the front flap plus a couple of much smaller closed tears and one small chip at top rear. light corner rub. No sellotape marks on DJ - the tape was confined to the makeshift cover only. Price intact. Lovely bright clean jacket, thanks to the previous owner's forethought - just a little loss of black ink in the letters "MR" and the "n" of Papingay in the title on the spine - this may be a manufacturing defect. Requests for further description or photos welcome.
