Binding   Hardcover

Book Condition   Very Good

Jacket Condition   Very Good

A very good 88 page hardback book. Previous owner's name and inkstamp on front endpaper; Sellotape offset on front & rear endpapers from makeshift cover, now removed. Book and DJ both unworn, spine of DJ is a little darkened. 5 sections, 5 appendices, 16 figures, 35 tables. Sections are headed: Scope & Definitions; Recommendations on Plant; Guide to the Choice of Impeller Types; Choice of Drive; Power Assessment; and Mechanical Design of Agitators. This Handbook has been prepared to give some guidance to those responsible for the selection or design of agitation or mixing equipment for various duties. At present many types of mixers are used industrially, and experience of member firms of the Engineering Equipment Users' Association suggests that such variety is unnecessary. The majority of agitation problems can be tackled by methods or recommendations given in this book, the proper use of which will help to solve or clarify many difficulties that beset the designer and user of agitator equipment.
